What this covers
These terms apply to this website and to desktop software published by Dotted Sun Technologies. iPhone apps are distributed through the App Store and are covered by Apple's Licensed Application End User License Agreement, which takes precedence for those apps.
Using the software
The companion application is licensed, not sold. It may be installed and used on computers under your control, for the purpose it is built for. It may not be resold, sublicensed, or redistributed as your own, and its protection measures may not be circumvented. All rights not expressly granted are reserved.
Product-specific: Uplink
Uplink is built to fly aircraft inside desktop flight simulators. It is not a radio control link, it does not transmit on any radio control frequency, and it is not intended or supported for controlling a real aircraft or any other physical vehicle. Do not use it for that purpose.
Your network
The phone and the companion communicate over a local network that you provide and control. Securing that network, and deciding which devices are allowed on it, is yours to manage.
Availability
Nothing on this site is a commitment to release any particular feature, platform, or version on any particular date. Descriptions of work in progress are exactly that.
Warranty and liability
The software is provided as is, without warranty of any kind, to the fullest extent permitted by law. Dotted Sun Technologies is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from its use. Nothing here limits any right you have that cannot lawfully be limited, including rights under mandatory consumer protection law in your jurisdiction.

These terms may be updated. The date at the top of this page reflects the most recent substantive revision.
